On June 13, 2025, “Harmonious Tiantai, Walking with the World – The First Tiantai Mountain Tour for Ten Thousand International Friends” was launched at Yiwu International Expo Center.
During the event, a group of international guests embarked on a two-day and one-night Tiantai Mountain cultural experience tour. From June 13 to 15, the 90-square-meter exhibition area focused on displaying local cultural tourism products such as Tiantai Wuyao, Jigong Shijia Wine, Norke Outdoor Products, and Huading Tea, allowing the world to focus on the natural and cultural charm of Tiantai County, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province.
With a history of more than 1,800 years, Tiantai Mountain integrates Buddhist philosophy, stunning natural landscapes and unique local lifestyles to provide a world-class tourism experience.
As the birthplace of Tiantai Sect, Tiantai Guoqing Temple has attracted pilgrims from countries and regions such as Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia. Innovative tourism experiences such as educational tours and meditation hiking allow Western tourists to appreciate the profoundness of Eastern philosophy.
At Shiliang Scenic Area, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking Shiliang Waterfall, visit the revered Fanguang Temple with its five hundred arhats, and immerse themselves in the poetic landscape that inspired ancient Tang Dynasty poets.
In the future, Tiantai County plans to launch more themed tourism projects for tourists from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Southeast Asia, such as the Buddhist ancestral temple pilgrimage and Hanshan cultural experience.
For European and American tourists, new projects such as “Tang Poetry Tracking” and Oriental Retreat focusing on physical and mental health will also be launched. Tiantai County will also strengthen cooperation with global OTA platforms and overseas travel agencies to provide high-quality cultural tourism services.
Tiantai is only a 90-minute high-speed rail ride from Hangzhou, and international tourists are welcome to come and experience the oriental culture and witness its beauty with their own eyes.
